What is file extension

LinkedWords® is a new approach to find / manage information on the web!

The final part of an MS-DOS filename that denotes the file format. The extension is usually 3 to 4 letters set apart from the rest of the file name by a period. Examples of file extensions are: .gif, .html, .doc, .txt, .wav, .wpd, .pdf, .dll, .asp, .php, .jsp and many more. In the case with LinkedWords®' concept, all keywords, key phrases and sentences operated by our web platform are made into files, so-called keyword pages and the file extension of all of pur pages is ".php".
